    Question how to create "date & time" field for cases

    I am able to create a custom date field for cases....but that is not enough.

    I also need the ability to create a time field that a user will fill in on the case screen

    What I need is the "Start Date & Time" field that is in the calls screen.

    when you create a case the "create date and time" is done automatically, but we need to add another field to show the date and time a tech was actually "Dispatched" and that can be later the same day or the following day.

    I've looked all over the studio and drop down editor and have not found anything that will let me add a time field.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Get the developers manual from http://developers.sugarcrm.com/. There are several examples of custom fields in there and there are several in the code area on the site itself.

    Sorry, but I have looked and I have not been able to find how to add a time (hour and minute) field in studio, for cases. I found an example of adding a youtube embedded video, but I don't know enough on how to alter that to get what I need.

    the field I want is actually not a custom field, that I know of. it already in use on the "Schedule Call" and "Schedule Meeting" screens. There is even a freeform "time" field on the "convert leads" screen if you select the option to make an appointment.

    I just want to have those available as an option when I create new fields in studio.

    Please advise?
