how to create a drop down box in create oppuertunities

hi

i am trying to create a drop down in the create oppurtuniies page. I tried adding a drop down for the oppurtunities module i was able to do it but i dont know how to create one in the create oppurtunities.I tried doing it in GUI it gave me dupication errors and i dont know how to do it in code.I dont know where all the data has to be added for it display the drop down box. So it will be great if some one can help me in this
