how to create new email user

I tried to create a new user (with a different domain and outbound gmail SMTP) and it used the settings for another user and created a problem.

The elements that I need to change and have specific for each user are:

The From Name (which seems fine)
The from email address (which is NOT...it seems to default to some value found in the admin > Notifications)

Can someone provide a concise methodology for creating a new user so that the new users can do an outbound email properly? Thanks.

Hi,

In Admin go to email settings specify valid email id and password , don't forget to use smtp authentication , now go to email module. select pref ill gmail settings give user name and password, and select test settings button, you have to get a message popup3 connection successful.
