I'm looking to learn how to customize sugarcrm. I'm familiar w/ all technologies involved. I have downloaded the bitrock stack and the application is up and running. Now I would like to do two things.

1 and most importantly---- Set up an external website that saves captured information into sugar (i.e. leads). I've read the example leadCapture.php and such. Currently I have a website running w/in the MySql/Php/Apache framework. However, I haven't found any clear documentation for what the functions in leadCatpure.php do. Exactly what does saveHandle do? Any direction is appreciated.
2 and less important ---- How to create one's own module - Do you downloaded and install the module builder and templates. Or is that no good? What are the step - by - steps to creating a module? Which files need altering/adding onto etc?
