How to define the default homepage layout

I would like to define the dashlets positions for all users. How can I do this? This design should apply to all current and future accounts...

I think this is a great idea... did anything ever come from this? I know you can revert individuals back to the default setup or restrict their ability to customize the homepage; but no way to declare custom homepage defaults (like templates basically).

That's a very good question. I have been looking for this answer and I couldn't find it. If anyone knows, I'll appreciate the help!

Hi,

Had you tried to edit the database in user_preferences table ?
I think you can copy information from one user to an other and by this way set all user like you (if you use the right dashlets positions).

this lets you set all users homepage based on a template

Aspeno, I think that's exactly what we are looking for; is that safe for 5.0 or will there be a 5.0 upgrade available?

Good! It's seems wonderfull. But in my installation I only see a link in the quick links (on the left) redirectiong to: index.php?module=Administration&action=ResetDashbo ards&stage=0

Is there any other options?... I couldn't find them...
