    Default How do I add a document category?

    Hello All

    A simple one I'm sure but how do I add a category within which to organise my documents?

    Cheers

    You need to add a category in the admin -> Dropdown editor. look for document_category_dom then click select. and edit away.

    Thanks Umeco

    Thing is, I can't find the dropdown editor - I notice that some icons in teh studio section don't have any text against them - is that the problem?

    I'm attaching a screenshot.

    Cheers

    Hi

    With your version of Sugar you'll find the Drop Down Editor in:

    'Admin' > 'Studio' > 'Edit Drop Downs' > 'Edit Drop Downs'

    Check the file
    modules/Administration/language/en_us.lang.php
    or if it exists check
    custom/modules/Administration/language/en_us.lang.

    Are there entries like

    'LBL_STUDIO_TITLE' => 'Studio',
    'LBL_STUDIO' => 'Studio',

    Hello Simple

    Thanks for the reply.

    When I go to Admin - I have no way of clicking a Studio link, the studio title isn't a link for example.

    Also I checked the two files you mentioned;

    modules/Administration/language/en_us.lang.php, contained the 2 lines of code you mentioned

    custom/modules/Administration/language/en_us.lang, did not exist.

    Any idea what all this means?

    Cheers

    Hmm...what version of Sugar do you use? Is it a fresh installation or upgraded from an older version? It seems that the language pack is old or not complete.

    Do you use US English - or do you have another english language pack installed?

    Ah - now that you ask about language I notice that version installed was UK.

    Here's my patch info
    Code:
     	 Name Type Version Date Installed Description Action
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.5.0c	2006-10-02 08:21	None
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.5.0b	2006-09-14 14:18	None
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.5.0	2006-09-08 07:14	None
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.2.1b	2006-08-16 15:11	None
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.2.1a	2006-07-27 22:17	None
    	en_gb language pack	langpack	0.4.5	2006-06-25 21:51	United Kingdom translation for SugarCRM v4.2.0d
    	SugarSuite	patch	4.2.0d	2006-06-03 12:01	None
    Could it be that there's an em_uk file somewhere I need to update?

    Cheers

    Actually Simple.

    Added 'LBL_STUDIO' => 'Studio', to my en_gb.lang.php file and I have alink to the correct page now.

    I guess maybe the updates updated the wrong language file or something.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers
