How do I get reports out of sugar?eg. open cases for the day,etc.

is there a reports function in sugar open source? i need to pull daily reports about open cases, but i have no idea how.

I do not think SugarCRM Open Source has a comprehensive report system for each module. Commercial Version might be having this reporting system.

However you can try an alternative method of "Saved Search"

Go to Advanced Search
Select "New, Assigned and Pending Input" from the Status - multi select box. You need to use Ctrl for selecting multiple status. And perform a search. You get all Open Cases.
Save this search with the name "Open Cases"
This Saved Search will come in the left hand side "Saved Searches" drop down.
This can be viewed on a daily basis to get an overview. And in case you need to send this to somebody as mail, you can export the Search Result to CSV file.


Bud I do welcome some other members suggestion or any patches available for this Reports for all modules.

Reports are available in Sugar PRO and Enterprise versions, but not in OS.

I cannot speak from personal experience, but I have seen report modules in the Sugar Exchange. I have tried other items from the exchange with great success so I highly recommend looking there. Or, buy Pro!
