How do I insert images in newsletters

Can someone tell me how you can instert images into the newsletters?

There doesn't seem to be any upload function for images?

I've done lots of clicking around but can't find where I can change setting to also allow uploads of individual images that would be used separately in newsletters

Hello Omarm,

SugarCRM doesn't allow you to insert images in emailings (Newsletter) unless they are attached documents.
The best thing to do is to publish your image on a public web site and get the url link to this image so that you will be able to put this link to your newsletter.
It is far more light if you send your newletter to a lot of targets !

i would have thought maybe it would good to allow upload of images and to have them stored
and then in the html code, give absolute paths to the images?

one of the things i wanted to use sugar for was to use as a newsletter system
given the restrictions with the images, would u say this was not a good idea?

You're right, there are a few limitations in the way Sugar is sending images in newsletter.
We still have a lot of customers that use SugarCRM campaign management tool and are quite satisfied with it, having before identified limitations !
