How do I make 'reminders' emails instead of popup windows?

The subject pretty much says it all.

Right now, with a basic installation of the community edition of Sugar CRM (v 6.0.3), reminders appear to be implemented using popup windows. That is fine if the users are glued to their own desks al day, but it is a problem otherwise.

My colleague logged into our installation of Sugar using his Blackberry, and everything seemed to work (except he described the text as extremely small). However, when we tested the reminder functionality, it did not work. Another colleague told me that popup windows are not supported by the browsers on smart phones. I wouldn't know if that is merely a default configuration or if that is always true (as I have never had a smart phone).

This, when our guys are out fo the office, and to provide reminders to those meeting participants who are not on our staff, we need to be able to send emails to meeting participants as reminders of the meetings.

hence the question: how do we do this? Is this a matter of using the right settings in the admin section of Sugar CRM, or do we have to modify one or more files?

There is no available feature to configure that, so you need to:
Create a scheduled job to accomplish such feature;
Adapt the code from include/javascript/jsAlert.php into this new scheduled job.
