How do I recover lost leads from the database?

I recently did a merge with the information from my leads as was one of my leads was duplicated. However, I lost all the other leads as they were all selected when I merged the duplicate leads, How can I recover this information. All were new leads, only the leads that have been already converted have remained.

I believe the merged records are marked as deleted in database.

I found the leads that were deleted, but the question is how to I restore the leads that were lost? What is the procedure.
