Default How do I remove sample database after install

I got SCRM installed and running, but I installed the sample data from the install to get to know the system. I would like to remove the sample data, but can't figure out how to do it. Should I just go into phpMyAdmin and delete all records or is there a better way??

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi,

Easiest way is to delete the DB, then delete the config.php file. This will force Sugar to call the install routine

That sounds pretty easy. Am I going to have to setup all the users again?

Also, thanks for the quick reply!!!

    I a word, yes probably.

You can back up by table you know. So backup the users table and anything else critical. Clear the DB and restore the necessary info.

Alternately, Export the data to a csv. Sugar allows this. Then clear the DB, import your data!

    Good luck,

    Paris

Malcolm, I tried as you suggest. It kicks the install.php and it creates everythign including the demo data. Do, I need to do something differnt?

I am running sugarCRM CE 6.0.0

    Thx in advance

the trouble with this method, the custom tables are gone, u would have to rebuild some of these custom fields in the database using studio. still quite tedious. It works though. am wondering if sugarcrm developer team could put a control in admin panel under repair module where you have the option to wipe all data clean in order to have a fresh start
