Default How do we change the Related To dropdown module list?

I have renamed the Opportunities module to 'Proposals', but in any of the built in 'Related To' module select dropdown lists it is still showing as Opportunities. I would also like to remove some other modules (cases, bugs, etc) from the list that we will not be using, and possibly add a custom module I created with Builder in 5.0.

How do I edit this dropdown?

I have a fairly basic install of 5.0a on a LAMP box.

    Thanks,
    -Jeff

Thanks for the pointer (I thought I checked all of the dropdowns in there but guess I missed it). You left out the dropdown name 'parent_type_display' but I figured it out...

I did have some trouble using Firefox to use the studio, it kept doing strange stuff. And IE7 didn't seem to have the edit/delete buttons. Strange. I also tried adding my custom module but the select button just brought up a blank white pup-up window.

No biggie for now, clearing out the unwanted modules and renaming opportunities was the most important.

Ok I got it figured out. The actual drop down that worked for me was:
    record_type_display

At first I also got the blank white page. To fix this I used the following as the data in the dropdown editor:

packagekey_modulename for both "Item Name" and "Display Label" or in otherwords avad1_vendors

    Hope this helps.

Ha! That did it. Actually, I'm not sure what did it, but it works now!

In my case I edited the following three dropdowns to add my module (Agencies/Agency) with your packagekey_modulename name format:

    parent_type_display
    record_type_display
    record_type_display_notes

In my case it didn't seem to work until I had it in all three places (although as usual when debugging I tried several combinations of things until it worked and can't remember exactly which ones are required to make it work haha )

Once I got it going I was a little leary of leaving it in your suggested format (for ease of reading for the sales staff) so I went back and deleted/re-added the entry in all three dropdowns using a format similar to [module_tab_name] [what_I_want_to_show_the_users] and it still worked!

Sometimes I really wonder what Sugar devs are thinking when they design this stuff (I know I'm not paying or writing it myself so not much room to complain), but you can't get much more obscure than some of these 'hacks' for what I would think should have been an intuitive built in feature. They put some great work into the module builder, but what good is the module if it isn't easy to relate it to other modules easily and INTUITIVELY?

    well, now I discovered this:
parent_type works in Activities (call, meeting, task) not in notes, and in custom "flex relate" fields.
record_type permits select modules for "related" field
record_type_notes is used in Notes module

if you want to have a custom module in a related field is enough to add it to record_type. Of course if you want to have to do a call about this module, for example, you need to add it to parent

I have some problems too with the names: if use

    Sup1_incidents Label: Incidents

the list appears as "Sup1_incidents" OK, I think this is a bug: If you save one more time, you have ..... "Incidents"

each time you save any list, this list interchange the name and label columns, so you can obtain in your system a list with names_like_this, if you save another time, you have "names like this"

Now: anybody have idea how can I obtain my custom parent_type but without modify parent_type?
I need parent_type in order to use it in Activities, but I need too a similar list only with contacts, leads, accounts and prospects, but with the same functionality ( a text field with validation, select an cancel button)

    Thanks
