Re: How do we change the Related To dropdown module list?
Ha! That did it. Actually, I'm not sure what did it, but it works now!
In my case I edited the following three dropdowns to add my module (Agencies/Agency) with your packagekey_modulename name format:
parent_type_display
record_type_display
record_type_display_notes
In my case it didn't seem to work until I had it in all three places (although as usual when debugging I tried several combinations of things until it worked and can't remember exactly which ones are required to make it work haha
)
Once I got it going I was a little leary of leaving it in your suggested format (for ease of reading for the sales staff) so I went back and deleted/re-added the entry in all three dropdowns using a format similar to [module_tab_name] [what_I_want_to_show_the_users] and it still worked!
Sometimes I really wonder what Sugar devs are thinking when they design this stuff (I know I'm not paying or writing it myself so not much room to complain), but you can't get much more obscure than some of these 'hacks' for what I would think should have been an intuitive built in feature. They put some great work into the module builder, but what good is the module if it isn't easy to relate it to other modules easily and INTUITIVELY?
