Question How do you get rid of all these accounts in the email drop down boxes?

    Hi Guys,

We have had HUGE issues trying to get 5.1.0.a work with Exchange but have finally got it working. But the problem is we tried so many configurations they are still there. Every time you make an account it is saved, even when you delete it, you cannot get rid of it. Often Sugar will default to an account that has been deleted. How can you clean out the drop downs?

This is a screenshot of the "from" in the email client, the top account does NOT exists, AND Sugar always defaults to it, so every email I must select the proper from account (the second one):

In this email we tried multiple SMTP servers to get Sugar to talk with Exchange, we now have the proper configuration, but where do we remove/delete these entries? Only 1 of these accounts actually is really there, yet the entire history of each configuration we tried remains--how do we get rid of them so there is only one?.

    Thanks!
    Chris

Sugar Fans, I am getting killed on this... am I the only one with the issue? Once you enter an smtp server in the email client you cannot delete it. How can I remove these entires from the drop down box? Am I the only one with this issue?

Also Sugar 5.1.0.a email client defaults FROM a removed account, everytime someone send an email they must select a different Send From. Again, am I the only one with the issue?

I would be GREATFUL for any help or direction as my users are killing me!

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

If you are trying to remove the Outgoing Mail Server settings (your second screenshot) sinply select it and click the delete button to the right of it. This will remove it from the dropdown.

In regards to the 'bad' email address cj.terry@nextshore.com, I see it in the second screenshot as the 'From name'. Change this from name to another email. Also, you might want to try looking in Admin --> Inbound Email. The original inbound box that was created (or is still in use) is probably still set up here. Take a look at the 'From' address and see if there is one that matches the 'bad' email. If so, you will want to change it or delete the inbound box.

Sugarcane, THANK YOU for the repsonse. But when you select "delete" it only deletes the "mail" account NOT the SMTP server entry. I just tried it. Now my primary email account is gone (that is ok as I am a test user) and I still have multiple SMTP entrys and there is NO delete button.

Delete only deletes the email account, it has NO affect on the SMTP server entries.

I will look in to the bad default FROM next.

    NONE THE LESS THANK YOU!!!!

You can not delete a system outgoing server. So select some other entries from the dropdown list.
