How do you handle quotes?

I am new to SugarCRM, and about to find out how we should make use of it.

Thinking I am just about to crasp the concepts of dealing with leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities, I am faced with the question: How do we manage the quotes that we send to customers?

One should think that quotes should be identified as such, so that we would be able to track quotes and to have an overview of the qoutes we have given.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We have installed Version 5.0.0e (Build 3276)

SugarCRM CE has no Quotes module, but SugarCRM Pro and Ent do have a Quotes module, as well as a Product Catalog to track items you wish to sell.
