Hi tonywood100, this page shows the feature breakdown available in Sugar Open Source, Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise editions. Quotas is a subset of the Forecasting feature available with the Sugar Professional and Enterprise editions.
Hope this helps.

I have exactly the same problem. I see many documents and I can't define quotas. There is some bug at SugarCRM or there is some procedure to make forecst to run. I use SugarCRM professional 5.2;
Go to Admin -> Time periods and setup applicable time periods. These are usually determined by your sales manager and / or accounting people depending on how they want to track forecasts.
You'll setup your fiscal year and then any combination of time periods.
Then you can create forecast amounts for those periods. You can also assign quotas to individuals in those periods.
It is covered in the manual so you might want to go down load that.

claudio,
I'd need more information than "the module doesn't work"but one thing I left out is that you need to setup your Reports To: hierarchy in the User Management module in administration.
Decide who people are going to report to then go to these users, usually sales people, and in their Reports To field select the person to whom they will report. This can be multi leveled.
So, user b and user c might report to user a and users d and e can report to user c. This is just an example.
In the forecast module this will setup a tree like view.
Presuming you've setup time periods.
Then each user needs to go into their forecast and commit the three cases best, likely and worst. Then the top level of each branch can go into the forecast module review and override the entries. Then as opportunities are created in that period they will appear there for each user. The users can then go enter the cases for each opportunity in a worksheet manner.
I'm creating a more detailed document for my work and will try to post it soon but this should get you going.

Hi Claudio,
what is the recommended approach for a one person team.
My sales department consists of just me.
I tried to set "I report to myself" but that is not accepted.
So how can I set quotes for myself?
