The link to the thread that DigiCRM posted is for auditing the Account field when you are looking at the audit trail for a Contact.
The audit button to view the audit for the Account fields is located in the Detail view of the Account: it is the 'View Change Log' button that is located with the buttons Edit, Delete, Duplicate.
