Oh and by embedded I mean completely integrated in the email... not a external link (absolute or not).
So that Outlook will display it without asking to download the images...
In the User guide 4.5 it says to embed a image do... blablabla.... but that's not "embedded", that's juste linked with an absolute URL...
thx community ;-) !
I have the same question / concern. It should be possible to embed an image. Can anyone address this? Or is it just another bug / deficiency in SugarMail?

I have the same question, is it possible at all or does the documentation actually mean linking when it talks about embedding images?
Same question here....
In the email template UI, there is a browse button for any attachment. Select an image. After doing that, you will see a pencil icon next to checkbox. Click on that. This will insert an image. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.

Hello everyone,
in 4.5.1, to embed an image within an email template, first attach your image to the email using the Attachment Browse field at the bottom of the page.
Once you attach your image, to the left of the attachment name, you will notice a little paperclip icon. Click into the body of the email template where you want to embed the image, and then click this paperclip icon. The image will then appear in the body of the email template.
You will next want to remove the image attachment, so that all there is left is the embedded image. To do so, you must first save the template. Now click 'edit', and you will notice that to the left of the attachment, there is a checkbox with the words 'rem'. Check off this box and click Save again. All that you are left with is the embedded image.
As a security feature, most email clients will still ask you if you want to download the image, However, your email is less likely to be labeled as spam because the image is embedding in the email as opposed to being an attachment.

This does not seem to work with 5.1b.
