Default How to Export Account History with SugarCRM Open Source

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum and would like to request help in how to Export Account History.

I am using Sugar Open Source version 4.5.0d.

From "Account" view, I can export accounts. However, is there a way to also export the Account History such as notes?

Thanks in advance for any help and ideas you might provide.

    Heidi

I can't think of any way of doing this, how would that work in the real world? Each account could have a dozen notes, calls, meetings etc...

How would you format this into a spreadsheet? Or are you just trying to print out the detailview page with all the history items show (instead of just 5 or whatever)?

Here's a possible workaround for you, but it may take several steps. I will use Notes in this example. You can get to all notes by clicking on Activities --> Notes. When exporting all notes, you can see that the notes are related to the parent ID. In your case, you are interested in notes with the Account parent type .

If you are familiar with using vlookup in excel, you can export all notes from Activities and then export all accounts into two different Excel worksheets. Then you can use vlookup to cross reference the spreadsheets against the Account's parent ID in order to carry over the Account Name into the Notes worksheet.

    Hope this helps,

    Lori
