How to get Sugar to alert user when a task is set for them.

I am trying to set up my Sugar CRM to alert users when a task is set for them. Otherwise they have to keep checking their task list on their home page and for our business it is really important they know the tasks are there as soon as they arrive.
HELP!

Sugar should send an email to a user when you assign a task to them

it should work automatically but only if you have marked the box in his account "Notify on assignment"

What i have done in the workflows is that the person who created a task and assigned it to someone will get a message when the task is completed.

Our user only gets an email for new Tasks, but not Project tasks..

If you are using Pro or Enterprise you can use Workflow to alert for almost anything.

workflow is not included in CE. so the answer is that it is not "native" but check sugarforge and sugar exchange. i am sure someone has developed something that will do this. or you could create some custome code.

I checked available modules, but it seems Process Manager for SugarCRM is the only one which does that. It costs $180.
Does anyone know if there any other module available for sending email when a new Project task is assigned to a user?
