Default How to have "account" field in imported contacts?

Hi, I have recently installed 5.5.0 and am about to start importing my contacts. Is there a way to have my contacts' workplaces be imported as account names? Or would I first need to import those workplaces as accounts and then import the contacts separately?

Also, I have lots of different Excel worksheets to import. They are for groups such as Loyalty Club, Front Line, Hotels, etc. Some contacts fall within several groups. I was planning to merge all worksheets into one and assign a lead source to each. Would that be the most efficient way to do this?

    Thanks in advance for advice,
    Jo

Surely someone knows the answer to theese queries. Or should I have posted this in another forum?

You should be able to map your "workspace" field to the "Account Name" field, and it will link to existing Accounts or create new ones if a match doesn't exist.

Hi guys, thanks for suggestions.Mapping the workplace field to account worked perfectly.

I would still be keen to hear suggestions on how to handle contacts who fall within several groups. Lead source only lets me allocate one type per person.
I've tried setting up check boxes for each group and will see if that does what I need but I'd be interested to know what others do in this situation.
