How to import relations?

Hi,

I've got about 1000 project, customers, contacts in one large CSV file.
What would be the best strategy to import them?

I've read about importing the projects, exporting them and using the IDs to associate customers and projects and import customers. Then export customers, associate customers and contacts and import contact.
Is this the best way to do it?

PS: How can I search for two words? +import +relation and import AND relation doesn't work. The forums search uses always an OR

You can import contacts by using the account name field as link. But then the structure must be something like:

"contact1","fields","account1 name"
"contact2","fields","account1 name"
etc.
No need to use the IDs here.

I assume (but didn't try yet) that projects - accounts follow the same rules. The method you describe will work as well but is fairly time consuming and error prone.
