Default how to install a module

I am running on localhost with WAMP and trying to install zuckerreports but struggling.

I go into admin/module loader; select the file. upload it......it says connecting, uploading, goes to 100%.

But then the module is nowhere to be seen. There are no modules on the list.

    Any ideas?

There are lots of older posts in the forum on this.

Basically, the jasper folder is too big for most web configurations so you have to modify the zip file to make it work. This is all explained in the Zucker documentation. Unfortunately they have chosen to no longer provide the documentation for free. You can buy it on their site for $50 and it will get you installed and has lots of other help getting your reports working.

If you don't want to buy their manual, the basic steps to get around this issue are:

    1. Extract the zip file contents
    2. Remove the jasper folder and all its subfolders and files from the extracted location
    3. Rezip the files without the jasper folder to a new zip file
    4. Install from the new zip file
    5. unzip the jasper folder from the original zip directly to the SugarCRM folder under the relative path specified in the zip.

The install should complete normally this way and there are no post-install steps involving jasper, so it will also work fine.

I found that I could not do anything until I also installed the demo packs. But after installing both demo packs, everything worked (although there was a big learning curve).

On your server edit your php.ini and change the upload_max_filesize line to over 20M (mine is set at 50M). Also, I believe I had to change the post_max_size line as well to the same size as the max filesize line.

After those are changed restart apache and try installing the module again.
