how to know if a sent email was open

Hello all!

I'm begining with SugarCE ver 5.5.0 and a question rised about how can we know that a sent email from Sugar was read or opened by the recipient lead or customer?.

does any of the diferent versions can do this?

Not 100% sure how Sugar can, but the user must support read receipts, or you can embed an image that hits the server and logs the address (user must have images enabled...).

It wont be 100% accurate however Sugar does it.

This is already built into into the application and works like any other e-marketing campaign by having a 1x1px image load that relates the email opening to the recipient. This is a standard method of tracking email opens. What SugaCRM does not do is track an email open/view when the user doesn't load images, it will track click throughs and all other actions.

Test the current version 5.2 and you'll see the production version of the community version which works correctly. 5.5 is too new for you to be testing for a proper evaluation of capabilities.
