How to link a custom module to Project Tasks AND Projects

I've created a module called "Proposals" to track proposals submitted for various Project Tasks.

The proposals are added to the Project Task, and all is good in that regard. From the Proposal Listview, I can see the Project Task for which is was created, however, i'd like to see the parent Project of the Project Task since many of the Project Task names are similiar or identical and are not indicative of the Project they belong to.

Is there a way to capture and link the Project of a Project Task and use it when listing the Proposals? i know I can use a Project relate field, but it seems like unnecessary double entry since the Project Task implies the Project and is hopefully available somewhere when the Proposal is being created.
