Default How to migrate .MYD files from crashed server

    Hi,

Our server running Sugarcrm 4.01 crashed but I recovered the /var/lib/mysql/crm directory that contains our database tables.
So I installed a new version of Sugar 5.0 onto a new server and then copied the old database files into the same directory on the new server (apart from config.frm, config.MYD, config.MYI and users.frm, users.MYD and users.MYI).

    After that I did

Admin > Repair > Repair Database

    but now it says

Query Failed:SELECT tracker.* from tracker WHERE user_id = '1' AND visible = 1 ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 0,10::MySQL error 1054: Unknown column 'visible' in 'where clause'

So is there a better way to restore my previous data from the old MYD files?

    Thanks,

    Oliver

Not to worry, I think it is ok now. We really were mainly concerned with the contacts and leads data.
So I just copied those files (/var/lib/mysql/crm/leads* and /var/lib/mysql/contacts*) and then ran the repair tool from
the admin page. I can see why it's called sugar now, it's sweet!
