Default How to move data from local to webserver?

I've got Sugar installed locally on my Mac. I've installed it on my web server. What is the best way to export the data from the local Sugar database and have the web server Sugar database import it?

I can use phpMyAdmin since both are MySQL databases. Will doing an sqldump form the local and and then running it on the remote work OK?

Please just give me a hint as to what the favored methodology is for Sugar.

    Thanks,

    Al

mysqldump would be the best option in my opinion.
    That's what I do.

I don't think there is a favored methodology for Sugar.

For the record this is what I did. I used myAdminPHP to do a sqldump. I had some problems as it would not import Leads. Finally I used the selections for MYSQL40 compatibility and to NOT check foreign keys (or something like that). After setting those, my import went perfect.

What I'm amazed at is that Sugar is almost as fast via my web server as it is locally on my Mac Mini (with Apache 1.3 and MySQL). Go figure!

I wish Safari was supported, but I have Firefox and it works fine.

    Thanks for the help.
