Default how is the precense of mysql tested

    Hello All,

I want to install Sugar crm open source 4.5 on a Sco openserver 6 machine, my php-version is 4.4.2, apache 2 and mysql5.27.
But when I reach the third screen it says that mysql is not available. How does sugarcrm check the precense of mysql?

The SugarCRM installer checks availability of MySQL by testing existence of the mysql_connect() function.

If you see the "MySQL not available" message, it means your PHP is failing to load the MySQL extension.
