    Default How to publish custom modules

    hi,

    I created one custom module and added some more fields later into the module.
    I tried publishing the module and installing it through module loader in another sugarcrm instance. But installing the module this way does not create the fields which i had added later. The installer just creates the default fields in the module.

    Please advice me on what I need to do.

    Thanks
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil

    I believe you had added the new fields through Studio after deploying the custom module, right?
    So in this case the module installer generated by Module Builder contains only the initial fields.
    To get these new fields into installer you need to go to Admin -> Studio -> Export Customization -> Select only your custom module -> Export
    You will download this second installer.
    So you will have two choices:
    1. Install both installers into a new sugar installation;
    2. Merge both installers to generate a single one.

    Alternatively you can go to Admin -> Module Builder -> add again the new fields -> Configure the Layout -> Publish.
    This work around will add into original installer the new fields.
