Go to Admin->Configure Tabs and move those modules into the Hide Tabs area and save.

Isn't there a better way to spend your valuable time though?

That won't affect system loading at all. It'll only save a few kilobytes of harddrive space which is cheap anyway now-a-days. Jacob has a number of posts on the forums here with how to help system load times. One wiki article that you may be interested in can be found at http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...d_Accelerators. Another thing to look at is optimizing your indexes in your database.
