How to send emails with a non-numeric HELO?

Hi,

I'm using Sugar to send small email campagins out and am going through everything necessary to reduce the spam score.

One issue that spam assasin is flagging-up is the numeric HELO that our server is sending. That is, the Sugar server is identifying itself to our ISP's SMTP server with its IP address rather its full name.

One very big email provider is putting a fairly heavy spam score against the numeric HELO so I am keen to find a way of changing our Sugar configuration to make its HELO non-numeric.

Please can you help me find the setting(s) I need to update in our Sugar server.

Consider sending the mail using SMTP instead of Sendmail.

Thanks for the advice, but I am already using SMTP for email sending. (I have observed that sendmail can push the spam score up).
