Default How to store a lost opportunitie

    Hi all,

We just started to work with the latest version of Sugar CRM open source.
But we can't figure out how to store a opportunitie that we've lost.

If we lose an opportunitie, than we want them removed from the opportinities list. That's easy if you delete it, but than it;s gone forever.

Lets say we made an proposal for company x. In the end the offer was a bit to expensive. So you set it to opportunitie lost. And you want to put in the note field: The price is to high.
So next time you open the contact you see you lost the opportunitie because of the price.

That's possible, but we want this opportunitie removed from the Opportunity List because we have a lot of opportunities and you only need this info the next time you work with this client. If you delete it, than it's also deleted if you look at the accounts and than sales - opportunites.

Is there a way to save a lost opportunitie so that it will be stored under contacts?

    Cheers,

    Xavier

Through writing a code which will disable the view of the opportunities whose status is closed lost, but it will show that in the contacts.

I would ask my developers to dig into this to achieve something like this

    Stay tuned,

You can use the Advance Search tab and select every sales stage you want to display. Leave out Close Lost in the multi-select. This will hide all the unselected in the search.

For your Home page Dashlet you can click on the Opportunities edit (looks like a little pencil on the bar). You can do a similar restriction on this list as well.
