Default How to use SugarCRM for Financial Services

    Hi,
Can anyone share the best practice of using sugarCRM for financial services?
This is the first time we are using a CRM software.

We want to have Accounts=Family, contacts as family members and one of the family member shall be the head of the family. Which is the best way of doing. Like, should each contact (family members) have accounts and all report to one account (head of the family).
Or is there any best of using sugarCRM for us.

We are selling mutual funds, insurance, loans and do financial planning to our clients.

What about FAMILY => PROJECT, Person => Contact and Company => Account?

The project collects all members and singel persons can be part of different families...

You suggestion looks interesting. If our client's daughter gets married, then the new couples becomes new family(project) also a new lead. Even after marriage, we want to track the relationship (don't want to go to deep, at least 1st degree relations) both father and husband wants to give an investment as gift, can i link these two opportunity to same family member(contacts) ?
    1. Can I treat a new project (family) as a new lead.
    2. Can I set opportunities for the whole family (like health insurance policy for the family)
    3. How to set relationship, like, contact 1 is daughter of contact 2, and contact 1 is wife of contact 3.

While converting a lead to contact, how to create a Family (project) is it possible to include Project with a check box while conversion?

    1. Just start with an opportunity with a low stage

    2. define a family account in the project and assign the opportunity to the account and the project

    3. this could be a little addon similar to the sugarforge module "accounts network" http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/accountsnetwork/
