Default How to use SugarCRM for telesales campaigns

    Hello,

I have the community edition and I am very very new to sugar CRM and I am still try to get my head around how it works and what it can do for me. Anyhow here is my questions.

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to set up Sugar CRM for telemarkerting and apointment calls.

I have a girl that works for me and I would like to imput a list of contacts via a spreadsheet,

I want to set the CRM up so she logs in and can work through that list of new leads.

She needs to be able to log notes on the call and also be able to scheduale an apointment on my behalf so I can visit them.

Currently I cant see any anction that says "make new phone call and log notes" nor is there an option to work through a list whereby sugar CRM pulls up the details of the person to call.

Also she needs to be able to see my calendar so she can see my availblilty to book apointments, she also needs to be able to see details of apointments already in booked in my calendar.

It would be great if there was a plug in that could do this.

I am also lookng for someone in Australia that can come to my office on a contract baisis and help me with sugar CRM or someone anywhere in the world who would liek to make a little bit of cash configiring things like this for me. I can do some stuff and know a bit about PHP but I know some of you guys are masters when it comes to Sugar CRM.

Thanks heaps and sorry if this questions has already been asked befor.

    Thanks

    Hi Vince,

I have a girl that works for me and I would like to imput a list of contacts via a spreadsheet,
She can either manually import these into the Leads (or Contacts) modules, or manually enter them in.

She needs to be able to log notes on the call
Once the contact records are created, she can click the 'Schedule Call' button in the subpanel of the record she wants to create this against. The advantage of this is that the link between the contact and the call/note is created for you. There is also a Schedule call button on the homepage.

There is a description box within the call record where she can enter notes, or you can also create a note against the call. She also has the option to create a note against the contact. It is best practice to determine where you are going to log these items and be consistent.

and also be able to scheduale an apointment on my behalf so I can visit them.
She can create call or meeting records which are assigned to your user

Currently I cant see any anction that says "make new phone call and log notes"
    see above

nor is there an option to work through a list whereby sugar CRM pulls up the details of the person to call.
when you create a call and link it to a contact, there iis a contact link in the call record that will bring you directly to the contact record where you can view all their details

Also she needs to be able to see my calendar so she can see my availblilty to book apointments, she also needs to be able to see details of apointments already in booked in my calendar.
there is a shared calendar feature already built into the system where she can see this

    Thanks,
I understand the part about importing the contacts,
What I am unsure of is how to set up the system so it works through a call list, Ie she logs in and clicks a button whereby it tells her to call the first person on the list, Once she calls that person she either writes notes about the call or schedualesa meeting for me, or if they dont answer or require anothe call back she needs to be able to log the call to go back into the call list for the next day. Or if the person she is calling is just not intersted then they need to be moved to a no call list and a reason given.

The action "schedual call" to me seams like its designed for when someone wants to make a call in the future, or is there another action that means "make a call now" and then log notes or other actions?

    Regarding the shared calendar

I noticed that she cant see any entrys that she has made for me that are "pending" or havent been acepted yet, is there away to block out sections of the calendar when she scheduals on my behalf but before I have accpepted the invitation?

    Thanks
    Regards

I'm also looking for this functionality. I would like to be able to import records as either leads/targets and then create a campaign that I can assign to a user. The user would then be able to see the list of people to call, do so and record the results in terms of follow up phone calls, notes, opportunities, conversions, etc. In my mind, this is what a Telesales campaign is.

The current Telesales (as far as I can tell) does nothing. If the user already has a lead assigned, he/she can click on the lead, click on "select" in the campaign part of the lead, find the telesales campaign, click on it and then mark it as "Message Sent/Attempted."

This is both confusing for a user and practically useless. It also is very difficult to track whether the user has been churning through the calls as they are supposed to.

I'm new to Sugar, so either I'm completely missing something (I hope this is the case) or the Telesales campaign functionality still has a long way to go.

    Regards,

    Aaron

What is "inbound" & "outbound" in create call in Activities tab?

Field "Related to" & "Assigned to" use for what?

Email in SugarCRM is just internal?

    Thanks,
