How would I do this kind of email campaign

I have about 700 name/address records in an Excel file. I do not want to import them into my Sugar database for permanent storage. I want to send an email to them using the features of Sugar (to personalize.)

Can Sugar do this from an Excel file? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask.

If I were to import all 700 into "Leads" how could I keep them "separate" (without starting a whole new version of Sugar) or somehow "tag" them so I could mass delete them later on?

Load them in as targets ... into a target list ... then create an email campaign using the target list

to import the leads ... goto Campaign>create target lists

then Campaign>targets>import and assign the imported leads to the target list on import completion
