HOWTO run multiple telesales campaigns

Hi,

we need to run multiple telesales campaigns often targeting the same accounts/Leads.

For instance:

we'd like to sell the product X to Leads in the cities A and B.
Also we'd like to sell the product Y to Leads in the cities B and C.

The task of selling product X will be performed by Joe.
The task of selling product Y will be performed by Tom.
At the same time.

Is there an effective way doing this in Sugar CE?
If not, have we to customize it with Admin tools? Or using Enhanced Studio? Or building a Custom module of some sort?

We tried the Telesales Campaigns but they seem to do nothing. How can we track which leads are already been contacted? Are we missing something?

Any help will be much appreciated.

How to accomplish that:

Create the module "Cities" from template "Basic";
Create the module "Products" from template "Basic";
Create a relationship Many to Many between both;
Create all the Products record you need;
Assign each Product record to the appropriate seller (SugarCRM user);

that resolves part of the problem.

There is one thing that we're still unable to accomplish: to assign Accounts that have to be contacted for that specific product and, when our people start contacting them, to track which accounts are already been contacted and which are still to be contacted.

I think we need a "Contacted status" field for each account, specific for that product. And we don't know how to create it.

I saw it in a demo of vTiger but we really love Sugar and, if possibile, we would like to use Sugar for that activity.

I believe a good approach would be:

Create module Product Templates (previously Products)
Create module Products.
Create relationship One to Many between Accounts and Products
Create relationship One to Many between Product Templates and Products.
Module Products will implements the relationship between a Product from Catalog and an Account, and this module may define the field "account_contacted", additionally you can create relationship to Activities, so you can trach activities under this specific Product sold to some Account.

The flavor PRO accomplish a lots of features you would like to see implemented, additionally it enable you to build reports to easily track Accounts to be contacted.

Thank you, that is really helpful.

We're 99% done.

Module "Products", created as you suggest works just fine, we can filter by Product template and by "account_contacted". That's great.

How can we populate the module itself? Let's say we have 10000 accounts loaded into Sugar and we want to contact approx 1000 Accounts (e.g. filtered by "City", or by any other useful accounts field) for the product "A".

Manually inserting all of them one by one in "Product" module would be an impossible task.

OK, there we go....

Product has a relate field to Account and another relate field to Product Template.
You have to:
make sure the Products module had been created with Import feature.
populate all product templates;
create a xls file containing the product name, account name, product template name account_contacted value, and other information you may want to input into module.
Export this file as csv and import into Sugar.
