HTML emails, " is changed to 3D"

I am sending html emails campaigns. After I create an html email template I read it back from the data base and is OK. Also I verified and is written OK in mysql database. I do not use any trackers and I do not change any text in the email.

After the email is sent " is replaced with 3D".

<img src="http:...............">
<img src=3D"http:...........">

Does anyone have any idea ?

It looks like the inserted 3D is part of the email protocol.

Having the same problem on 5.2f CE

mailto links are there but wont open because of the 3D tag
