HTML mail and Firefox

I am using Sugar CRM since version 4.0

As I am Firefox fanatic user I want to use also with SugarCRM but sice unknown update there is no WYSIWYG editor with composing E-Mail. Unfortunately I have to use bludy IE for such a great software like SugarCRM it is

In Firefor (1.5) there is no body filed under Send HTML mail option.

Do you have any Idea what could be wrong? I have tested demo version of SugarCRM and it was working OK.

These are all known bugs. The email system is buggy but does improve a little each version. I do believe the next major update they will provide a massive focus on the email systems. There are several threads about the problems of the email system. Things did improve when they upgraded to the FCKeditor. There are problems with multipart text and html and attachments. Check out the bug tracker for further information about what bugs affect your version.

I don't understand how this can be such a wide bug when FCKeditor is completely compatible with Firefox. What is preventing them from fixing this? I totally renders the mail client worthless.

switched to opera when I have to send a mail.

is this a linux only problem?

How's this - we have two opposite problems:

Firefox - can't compose HTML emails but can open documents

Explorer - can compose HTML emails but can't open documents

I have to use Explorer to send and reply but Firefox to handle the attachments. Annoying!!

On my Windows XP System I can compose HTML emails using Firfox 1.5.0.7 (SugarOS and Pro 4.5.0).

Is this your problem or did I get it wrong?

fwiw i also have never had this problem: xp pro 64bit and firefox 1.5.0.7
i will try it on my linux laptop later i am curious.
