    Default html signature

is there a way to force sugar 5.0 to save a signature as html?

we have two users on our installation, one has a save html signature, and the other only has text. when opening the signature that is html in the editor, it reverts to text only, and doesn't show the html code. (we have not edited it yet)

when we paste in a signature copied from outlook, it shows up, but after saving and reopening, it shows up as text only.

on a related note, how can we delete a signature?

    New information regarding this issue.

the working HTML signature can't be edited. if the signature is opened for editing, it reverts to text. on a test signature, I was able to edit it and then reinsert an html based signature, but I was not successful at inserting a picture into the html as I was last time, using copy and paste. When I tried to insert a picture using the insert option, it asked for a URL for the picture and I was not able to use a drive location (eg: s:\images\picture.jpg)

currently it seems that the signature file is not editable if you want HTML, but you can paste in working HTML and save it. The function of an HTML signature is still a bit buggy.

I have been playing with the Email system all day, and I have found that the system has a VERY poor ability to work with and display HTML markup in emails.

I saw your thread and decided to test this issue myself. You are correct about the inability to edit the HTML signature. This should be submitted as a bug if you have not done so already.

ALSO, I found that once I loaded an HTML signature into the system and sent a test email to myself, I cannot even see the signature correctly in the Sugar system.

In other words: The HTML signature created in the Sugar System is not even displayed correctly by sugar when the email is sent and then viewed.

submit a bug? I never thought of that. I'll have to see about doing that.
