iCal Integration for Sugar

Yes, I know there are a handful of posts out there that have the word 'ical' in it, but I started getting a headache trying to figure this one out, and I know someone knows better.

So, just to help clarify this integration, I thought I'd get help, figure it out, get it working then post my steps.

I only need to view my sugarcrm calendar from my iCal program on my Mac. Writing to it, etc will just be a plus, but it's not necessarily my goal. I almost missed a scheduled meeting yesterday because I hadn't looked at sugar all day, so a nice little popup reminder from iCal, would be nice.

So, anyone want to help me get started, maybe we can clarify this for everyone.

I thought about starting here. I'd prefer a read-only version, if it's more complete.

I've been using input. this patch for over a year now with good results in both iCal and Sunbird. It doesn't offer write capabilities largely because it only outputs .ics format files, it doesn't handle input. The only downside I've found is that iCal itself can't run over an https connection, which means you need to have an unsecured connection available for this to work with iCal. Sunbird works fine over https.
