Images Field????? Help

I need to add a field to a form to allow people to upload photos associated with that record. Anyone know a module that can do this for me?

Hi,

You can look at the modules/Notes/metadata/editviewdefs.php
The field called 'filename' for sure implements what you need to do.

Ok I'll try looking at that.

If i want to have more than one photo, then it would be cool to have something similar to notes but without having to put in all the stuff about it being related to a contact or a meeting etc.

Maybe I should create a module that is a cut down version of notes and then figure out how to relate that to my main module.

For sure! It is a great idea.
Create a new module derived from Basic Template, create just a new field, which will be related to a file.
Create a relationship one-to-many between this one and you module.

Thats the big one....

How do I create the one to many relationship between the two? I tried this before following an article on here and best I managed to get was to get the panel working showing my children in my parent edit screen bt when I clicked crate i got a blank form.
