Well, that's going to vary on your install...there is no single answer, hence the reason why I suggested you post further details.

Sometimes it is as simple as enabling an extension within you PHP.INI. Other times you might need to just install the IMAP libraries, say for example if you are using CentOS. Then there is also the scenario where you might have to compile it for reasons that you haven't divulged yet, and that might require that you download the source first.

I'm having the same problem. My host (Netfirms) does not support IMAP, only webmail and pop/smtp and since it's shared, that means I can't change the parameters so emails through SugarCRM won't work for me or is there anything else that can be done?
