IMAP inbound email is deleting from server

I have my personal email account set up using IMAP. When I go to "My Inbox" it shows my email fine. But any new email messages are actually moved into sugar then then deleted from the server.

For example,

If I have 5 new email messages that are in my IMAP inbox and I open up thunderbird the messages show up. I close thunderbird and login to sugar. I go the my "My Mail" folder in sugar and the messages are there. Now if I open up thunderbird again, those new messages are not there, and all messages in my inbox that are there are marked as "Read".

This is kind of a bummer. I think I will try the TB email extensions, but I wanted to at least report this issue.

there is a 'leave mail on server' checkbox somewhere (sorry EMail module is still uncharted territory for me) that for some reason (I think) is still being obeyed for IMAP accounts.
