Default Implementing SSL for Sugar on XAMPP basis

I know there are a few threads about how to secure Sugar / SSL on Apache basis, but they were not understandable to me.

I offered a few days ago the possibility to my bank account manager to login as a user to be able to monitor our activities, but only through a normal http connection...

As i am a noob when it goes to configure Apache, could someone give me a how-to implement https between me and my banker (Apache needed changes, sugar needed changes) in an easy-to-understand language, like "open this file, make following changes" etc...

    Thx a lot

I believe SSL is enabled by default on most (if not all) XAMPP installs.

What happens if you open your browser and go to https://<your web server address>> ?

Is the web server listening on port 443?

    What OS are you using?

Sorry, was on a business trip for a few days, couldn't get back to you.

Well i went through it again more deeply, and it comes out that u were right : all SSL options are already on in XAMP.

All i had to do is issue a 1024 certificate, confirm it and integrate it in Sugar.

After that i was able to connect through https to the database locally and remotely.

    Thanks for help again.

    Cheers Angel
