Import on Account ID within Custom Module

I have built a custom module with a relationship to accounts. During an import in this module the only option I have to import is "Accounts" If you take a look at the options you have in Opportunities importer you have two options: "Account Name" and "Account ID".

I am really hoping that I can import my list based on Account ID. Is this feature available?

On the import screen for my custom module, if I hover over "Accounts" it does say "Name or ID" but this feature isn't working. Am I understanding you correct in that there is no feature to import on Account ID?

I'm working on the same issue. Can't we add some code so that we can import using Account ID? Using Account Name during import is not a very intuitive way.
