Import customization to different module

Dear all,

I am looking for help, regarding importing customization of the layouts and fields, of the Lead module, to the new created module (type: company), working on the same installation of SugarCRM CE 6.0.2 with PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.

Any suggestion how solved this?

Not exactly sure what you mean so I am going to assume that you mean that you have set up your mead module the way you want it and now you wand a new module do be a copy of the leads module.

There is no way though the UI to do this, if you can program you could do it but there is no easy way to copy a customized stock module, it would take someone with at least intermediate PHP skills to do it. There are files in the root module directory, the custom directory and in the fields_meta_data table in the database that would have to be merged and copied into your new module.

Thank you for your reply. You understand my problem very well, this solution I am looking for.

I don't understand backround of the SugarCRM, programming in PHP as well, only some basics. I'm advanced user only on the frontend.

Last Q: Is it possibility create by the professional off course, customize, universal package for me, which should be applied in the futere on the news, next modules.
