Import data field merge + Mass Update fields

Version 5.2.0h (Build 5744)

Hi all,

Is there a way to merge data fields during the import of a file (CSV etc).
For example: I have field1=lastname1, field2=lastname2.
During import I want field1 and field2 to be merged so that the lastname field in Sugar contains lastname1lastname2


Lastly, I know how to use Studio to change the layout of specific fields, but is there a way to change the layout and fields used in Mass Update?

Problem 1 is solved, by merging the data prior to import, makes life a lot easier.

Now problem 2 on the Mass Update still exists.
