Import leads directly in a Target list ?

Hi there,

I am new to SUgarCRM. I am just a user and no nothing about computer programme, patch, code etc...

To perform email campaigns, I imported "leads" from excel (CSV). It is successful.
However, I would like to add all of the imported leads in the same target list.
So far, I just know how to do to add "leads" thanks to the "select" button.

As there are a lot of leads, it takes a lot of time to select them amongs the leads previously imported.

Were it a way to make this easier ? Should I proceed in another way to perform my goal.
My goal is to import (in a very short time) my excel lists of names into SUGAR CRM.
I aim at sending email campaign to different target lists.

I am new to Sugar as well and was faced with a similar problem, but not for an email campaign, but a telemarketing campaign, so I am not sure if my solution will help.

First let me say that my company is using Version 4.5.1 (Build 1197).

What I did was go to the Campaign section to create my campaign, then I created a new "Target List". After the Target List was created, I went to "Import Targets" and imported my CSV list. Once the import is finished, on the right side of the screen toward the top, there is an action list that allows you to Import More, Finish, or assign to a Target List. I assigned all the imported targets to my previously created Target List.

From here, select what ever campaign these targets need to be assigned to. Once the campaign screen is open, there will be a section under the "Campaign Log" for Target Lists. From here, you can select the Target List that was created in the above steps.

This should allow your targets to be tied to a specific campaign, in turn allowing you to organize and apply what ever work flow you want.

With the additional module "PowerProspecting" you can assign leads from the leads menu via mass update to a target list.
