Default import size restriction on web host

    Hi

I need to update the data managed by my Web hosted SE5.2e.

Unfortunately my WEB host places a 2MB size restriction on imports, which SE
complained about during the installation process.

SQL file imports are handled by the WEB host's support staff and I'm quite satisfied with that scenario.

The thing is that now I need to update Contacts or Accounts, which means importing data from a local app
and my CSV files can reach up to 15 MB.

Is there a way to approach this issue without having to split my CSV file into 2MB chunks ?
Would it be possible to point Sugar towards a (local to the Web host) URL file location instead ?

    Thanks for you help

Your other option would be to insert the data via the SOAP API, through a custom written script or a tool such as SnapLogic or Talend.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions Angel

I'll look into these three possibilities.

Right now my head is more inclined to associate Soap
to bubbles than to Sugar scripting !
Oh well, just one more context/language to assimilate in
    order to move things forward...

    Hi

Well what do you know !
My Web Host just pushed the import limit restriction up to 10 MB
I do believe that I can live with that for now !

Sometimes it serves to ask, insist, explain, and then, just maybe,
you can get what you need.

    Take care

    Hello,

Well in your case, you could use the Talend ETL tool. It will ease the process. Save your work time because of the efficiency and speed of the program.

About Talend Open Studio, it is an open source ETL tool for data integration and migration experts. It's easy to learn for a non-technical user. What distinguishes Talend, when it comes to business users, is the tMap component. It allows the user to get a graphical and functional view of integration processes.
