Default Imported CSV produces fields with " "

    Me again!

OK clean start with a new VM, this time I went with standard LAMP Hardy base and then added SugarCRM under apache defaults.

Something odd that did happen before and is still happening now, is when I import data from a simple CSV file with no field delimiters I get eg:

"The Company Name" in the Account name rather than The Company Name.

This makes it impossible to search records which is hindering me somewhat ;-)

Can't see anything to affect that - ie the Import data source screen is comma delimited, none for fields, no other radio buttons and just the Create and Update selected.

Hair is beginning to fall out, and there is less of that to start with than once was! Anyone with any ideas?

And if you open up your CSV file in a text editor like notepad are the fields:

    "Company Name","Address"...

    Or are they

    Company Name,Address...

    Ok don't laugh ;-)

<looking very sheepish> Looks like my local app wrapped the fields with quotes when I saved it after cleaning some of the data prior to upload... How totally daft of me not to check first principles again.

Thanks for giving me the obvious but real answer and sorry for wasting your time!
