Default Imported Leads will not allow edit of custom fields

We imported a bunch of accounts into the leads model using the sugar import. No problem.

I went to edit the custom fuleds so I could test why the convert lead fails to pass so of the fields. Saved and no data is saved of the custom fields!

Created a new lead (not imported) and I have one or two fields that will not save data (seems those with decimal type didn't work!)

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong. I really need this up like uesterday and this could be a show stopper. thought I had everything working!

    Apache 2.3
    CentOS 5 (Linux)
    Mysql 5
    Sugar 5.0d

    Thanks for any ideas,
    Paris

    Further interesting behaviour.

I dropped the tables for leads, after backing up!, Went into the repair. ran fine.

Leads_cstm was not created. Enter new lead returns sql error since the table is not there. Is this a bug?

    Thanks Paris

OK, i've done some more igging via the debugging mode. Seems like its running into a 1054 mysql error for the cstm table.

It's funny behavior in that an entered lead had no problems entering this data with the same format. But importing seems to break it. Further testing underway. If I figure it out I'll chime back in.

    thanks Paris

    Hi, Paris.

Make sure the custom fields for Leads are records into table fields_meta_data.

As I said over in the developers side with a similar post. this is where the problem was.

Turns out there were still a couple of fields left over from a custom module that had issues. My original work around was OK but it was better to delete the fields not needed.

Thanks for the suggestions, Finally we can start using Sugar for real instead of endless testing and working.
